About the Speaker:

Alyssa McIvor is a Christian speaker, who lives in Edmonds, Washington. She is married to Dirk, a Lutheran Brethren pastor, and has served alongside him in churches across the USA for the past 14 years. Dirk is currently open to call, and the McIvor's attend Maple Park Church. Alyssa's passions include studying the Word of God, discovering and applying its truth, helping people to grow in their faith and in the knowledge of how God uniquely made, enabled and empowered them to serve Him. She is no stranger to trials, and speaks candidly about them while using God's Word to proclaim life-changing truth. She enjoys music, chocolate, hiking, camping, cooking, gardening and board games. Alyssa grew up in Salem, Oregon, graduated from Trinity Western University (Langley, BC), and Alliance Theological Seminary (Nyack, NY). She has served on the CLB Eastern Region Women's Ministries Board, the National Women's Ministries Team, and has taught Missions Awareness seminars for the International Missions department. She and her husband have 2 children, Abby who is 11 and Hannah who is 9. Alyssa keeps busy as a wife & stay-at-home-mom, teaching Bible studies and piano lessons, speaking at various events, and serving at her local church.
